In my book I have openly stated my reservations regarding cord clamping. Sometimes it is good to be humble. So humble I will be in restating my opinion .

It seems that if a cord clamping is  delayed by ONE MINUTE- the infant receives 50% of the IRON STORES he/she needs for the next 6 months.   Delay Cord Clamping by TWO MINUTES- infant receives 80%  of the 6month iron stores.

This is quite an achievement for such a small amount of time. When it is understood in this way, why would you argue this phenomenon

The only time that this does not make sense is in a situation where the baby is in need of resuscitation and where the priority is to get the baby to the infant resuscitation table .
